Celebrating the Fourth Centenary of the Institute founded by Mary Ward (1609) in response to God's call for active engagement of women in church and world.
1,200 people, CJ and IBVM Sisters, Associates, lay women and men co-workers, and friends from 45 different countries and every continent met in Rome for this inspiring Pilgrimage, a wonderful tribute to the spirit of Mary Ward that continues to inspire so many around the globe.

Sunday 4 October Travel to Rome and Registration at Caravita.
Monday 5 October
Morning. Piazza del Populo - a short liturgy and a welcome to our walking pilgrims who re-enacted, in 17th century costume, Mary Ward's entry into Rome through the FLaminian Gate in December 1621.
Evening. Concert, San Ignazio. English and Italian 16th and 17th century music..
Tuesday 6 October
Morning. Symposium on Mary Ward in the Augustinianum. Keynote Speaker Sr Gemma Simmonds CJ. Responses from Srs Mary Wright IBVM and Marta Zechmeister CJ.
Evening. Concerts: Choir of St Mary's School, Shaftesbury.

Wednesday 7 October
Morning. Papal Audience in Piazza S. Pietro.
Afternoon. Meditation -various Mary Ward Churches.
Evening. Reception for English pilgrims at the British Embassy to the Vatican.
Thursday 8 October
Morning. Mary Ward's Rome - visits to places connected with Mary Ward.
Evening Celebration Mass in Basilica S. Ignazio.
Friday 9 October
Mass in Basicila S. Agnese. Visit to a Catacomb for those who wish. Visits to CJ and IBVM Generalates, with a Concert and a Buffet Lunch.
Saturday 10 October Departures.
