Mary Ward Association Prayer

O parent of parents and friend of friends,
We thank you for the gift and vision of Mary Ward.
Bless us with the freedom to refer all to you,
the sincerity to be as we appear and appear such as we are
and the courage to search for your truth.
Ground us in a just and honest way of living,
that we may gain, as your gift, true wisdom.
Whatever our calling,
by your grace may it be constant, efficacious and loving.
We pray that we may serve you always
in love and freedom.

Pour out your blessing on the Mary Ward Association
and on Mary Ward’s Institute,
that by your grace we may work together for your kingdom.
Jesus say Amen.

Awareness exercise at the end of each day

I come before my God, who looks upon me with love…
I ask to see the most important moments of the day…

I let the day unfold before me in my imagination,
letting the times that meant most
arise for me naturally…

When have I felt most joy?
or when have I felt loving or most loved?
When have I felt faith, or hope, or peace?
or just felt most alive?…

Were there moments of sadness? of bitterness?
of feeling lost? or unfree, dishonest or fearful?…

For the happy times I give God thanks…

For the sad or loveless times I ask for healing and forgiveness…
In all that happened God was with me
and grace was available to me...

I ask for an awareness of God’s loving presence
in my life tomorrow...
